‘Black Hole Science’ experiments to stay warm after snow
My second entry for the 2026 Trans Rights Readathon. A college course that excited me was on religious themes in literature. My favorite part of ‘Black Hole Science’ is called ‘Lives of the Saints.’
Thank you for the strange fiction of ‘Rainbear!!!!!!!!!’
My first entry for the 2026 Trans Rights Readathon. Living past hope, everything matters and nothing matters. This doesn’t make sense, so it’s tough to resolve it. But this book drills into it.
People need to be allowed to keep their ID cards
I hope everyone is aware of the threat to đłď¸â⧠ď¸trans Kansansâ IDs. If I had a Kansas ID, Kansas would ask me to surrender my ID. It’s nonsense. There’s never been a reckoning. Anti-trans moral panic is hotter than ever.
We need to talk about the Heritage Foundation âenchiladaâ
If youâre trans, lesbian, gay, bi, or a woman, youâre not safe from these people. The version of the USA that the Heritage Foundation wants is governed by whiteness and by Christian authority. Don’t let them do this to people of any age.
Beast, in or out of a net
Art by Tucker Lieberman. Everything moves in the twilight: the beast, the net, the Moon, the Earth it orbits, you. Nothing dances in the same place twice.
6 things mystified me in the trans film âI Saw the TV Glowâ
This 2024 movie is tough to crack, but finally I think I get it. In art, opaque describes a substance you expect to see through but can’t: paint, glass, a thin layer. Metaphorically, it’s something you can’t understand.
My gay and trans identity isnât a little magic saltshaker
But it is nonetheless a favorite TV show, so keep tuning in! You can’t have someone else’s identity because you can’t be them. Even if you could have it, sprinkling their identity on your work wouldn’t guarantee cash.
The âBut why do transâŚ?â questions often just ask about being human
Of course humans will disagree with and disappoint each other. So where are we going together? What’s the ultimate goal of all our values, judgments, opinions, discernments? What’s the end game we’re playing? Where are we going with all this change?
You are not seeing things. You are seeing change.
‘Trans’ is very broad and it is a construct, and I am grateful to learn from this. The benevolent trickster walks the path of unfolding tricks. We are tricked. We are surprised. We leap. We are foolish and wise.
European medical orgs: Trans kids need access to puberty blockers Â
Organizations in three European countries recommend trans kidsâ access to gender-affirming care. Therapists can’t help you get feelings & identities you don’t & won’t have on your own. For lots of mainstream medical orgs, this isn’t controversial.
Let me tell you something gorgeous about regret
We will begin but this path cannot end yet. We don’t know how to exist without the way it was. The well has never been so deep. We’ve just wandered into it again.
What will the Log Cabin Republicans say about the second Trump presidency?
I can hardly wait to find out. Maybe it will even find a way to benefit a gay person somewhere. Today is February 6, 2025. A few things happened since Trump was inaugurated on January 20. Log Cabin is telling us that he loves and respects LGBT people.
