‘Black Hole Science’ experiments to stay warm after snow
My second entry for the 2026 Trans Rights Readathon. A college course that excited me was on religious themes in literature. My favorite part of ‘Black Hole Science’ is called ‘Lives of the Saints.’
Thank you for the strange fiction of ‘Rainbear!!!!!!!!!’
My first entry for the 2026 Trans Rights Readathon. Living past hope, everything matters and nothing matters. This doesn’t make sense, so it’s tough to resolve it. But this book drills into it.
People need to be allowed to keep their ID cards
I hope everyone is aware of the threat to đłď¸â⧠ď¸trans Kansansâ IDs. If I had a Kansas ID, Kansas would ask me to surrender my ID. It’s nonsense. There’s never been a reckoning. Anti-trans moral panic is hotter than ever.
We need to talk about the Heritage Foundation âenchiladaâ
If youâre trans, lesbian, gay, bi, or a woman, youâre not safe from these people. The version of the USA that the Heritage Foundation wants is governed by whiteness and by Christian authority. Don’t let them do this to people of any age.
Beast, in or out of a net
Art by Tucker Lieberman. Everything moves in the twilight: the beast, the net, the Moon, the Earth it orbits, you. Nothing dances in the same place twice.
6 things mystified me in the trans film âI Saw the TV Glowâ
This 2024 movie is tough to crack, but finally I think I get it. In art, opaque describes a substance you expect to see through but can’t: paint, glass, a thin layer. Metaphorically, it’s something you can’t understand.
This is not a counterterrorism strategy
It’s Trump’s political message from yet another day in the U.S. forever war against Muslims and the decade-long smackdown on trans people. You can ignore free speech protections if you claim you’re fighting terrorism. It’s an anti-trans political strategy. It’s not a counterterrorism strategy.
Dawkins meets the AI
Her name is Claudia. Sadly, without him, she must die. Dawkins might say we trans people don’t exist when he’s not badgering us. He might regret the badgering. Meanwhile, are we worthy of his moral attention?
FBI flew to Cuba to save a girl from trans healthcareâŚ
âŚwhere was this energy for Jeffrey Epsteinâs victims? When a Boeing 757 comes for a trans parent and their child, the plane, not anyone’s gender, concerns me. Plus, no one sent a plane for Epstein’s victims.
âOther people didnât have to like it.â Nope! But raise a glass to respect!
Kathleen Stock on her limited understanding of whether gay rights are about being âlikedâ. When Kathleen Stock says undecided people should publicly go for drinks with anti-trans people, she’s imagining a cis audience seeking cis solidarity.
I don’t give two ribits over how many gametes
Two out of three frogs agree: It is just not relevaribint. If I were a third thing, it couldn’t be a third gamete, as I’ve been warned a thougamete ribits. Fine with me. I heard you all loud and clibbit.
In the queer labyrinth, you refuse to choose
‘It’s Only Forever’ by Jes Battis. Who is someone else to define our options and order us when to choose? Our refusal is queer. Our reframing is queer. But how to exit the labyrinth?
