‘Black Hole Science’ experiments to stay warm after snow
My second entry for the 2026 Trans Rights Readathon. A college course that excited me was on religious themes in literature. My favorite part of ‘Black Hole Science’ is called ‘Lives of the Saints.’
Thank you for the strange fiction of ‘Rainbear!!!!!!!!!’
My first entry for the 2026 Trans Rights Readathon. Living past hope, everything matters and nothing matters. This doesn’t make sense, so it’s tough to resolve it. But this book drills into it.
People need to be allowed to keep their ID cards
I hope everyone is aware of the threat to đłď¸â⧠ď¸trans Kansansâ IDs. If I had a Kansas ID, Kansas would ask me to surrender my ID. It’s nonsense. There’s never been a reckoning. Anti-trans moral panic is hotter than ever.
We need to talk about the Heritage Foundation âenchiladaâ
If youâre trans, lesbian, gay, bi, or a woman, youâre not safe from these people. The version of the USA that the Heritage Foundation wants is governed by whiteness and by Christian authority. Don’t let them do this to people of any age.
Beast, in or out of a net
Art by Tucker Lieberman. Everything moves in the twilight: the beast, the net, the Moon, the Earth it orbits, you. Nothing dances in the same place twice.
6 things mystified me in the trans film âI Saw the TV Glowâ
This 2024 movie is tough to crack, but finally I think I get it. In art, opaque describes a substance you expect to see through but can’t: paint, glass, a thin layer. Metaphorically, it’s something you can’t understand.
He says your academic evidence is âlaunderedâ
If you believe oppression is real, Peter Boghossian doesnât think your academic work is real. Conservatives ask for their feelings to be validated and for “Western Civilization” to be saved through intellectual debate. Can we meta-debate that?
Being transgender is homophobic? Thatâs trope, not truth
Breakdown of ‘A Heretic’s Manifesto’ (2023) by Brendan O’Neill. They publish screeds without speaking to a single one of us, which goes beyond paternalism and shows an intent to control us in ways that are harmful to us.
15 common features of anti-trans troll comments
They really pack âem in. They didn’t read my article and don’t care about my perspective. They act as though I’m the one who didn’t do the required reading.
30 terrible ways to express ‘skepticism’ of transgender people
I will tell you how I generated this list. Itâs not random. For people who have been bothered by these arguments, who want to see them unpacked, and who will gladly avoid repeating or amplifying them in the future.
Skeptical of trans people above all
They could have been skeptical of science denialism and supernaturalism instead. Some theories, beliefs, and agendas are false, and their falseness merits skepticism. But trans people are real. We shouldn’t be the object of skepticism.
What to expect from the âAdult Human Femaleâ documentary
Yes, of course it’s anti-trans! Adult Human Female did not interview a trans person. What’s in the hour-and-a half documentary, in chronological order. I have opinions. I make remarks.
