‘Black Hole Science’ experiments to stay warm after snow
My second entry for the 2026 Trans Rights Readathon. A college course that excited me was on religious themes in literature. My favorite part of ‘Black Hole Science’ is called ‘Lives of the Saints.’

Thank you for the strange fiction of ‘Rainbear!!!!!!!!!’
My first entry for the 2026 Trans Rights Readathon. Living past hope, everything matters and nothing matters. This doesn’t make sense, so it’s tough to resolve it. But this book drills into it.

People need to be allowed to keep their ID cards
I hope everyone is aware of the threat to đłď¸â⧠ď¸trans Kansansâ IDs. If I had a Kansas ID, Kansas would ask me to surrender my ID. It’s nonsense. There’s never been a reckoning. Anti-trans moral panic is hotter than ever.

We need to talk about the Heritage Foundation âenchiladaâ
If youâre trans, lesbian, gay, bi, or a woman, youâre not safe from these people. The version of the USA that the Heritage Foundation wants is governed by whiteness and by Christian authority. Don’t let them do this to people of any age.

Beast, in or out of a net
Art by Tucker Lieberman. Everything moves in the twilight: the beast, the net, the Moon, the Earth it orbits, you. Nothing dances in the same place twice.

6 things mystified me in the trans film âI Saw the TV Glowâ
This 2024 movie is tough to crack, but finally I think I get it. In art, opaque describes a substance you expect to see through but can’t: paint, glass, a thin layer. Metaphorically, it’s something you can’t understand.

Publishing doctorsâ names is a threat
The Nuremberg Files was 1990s anti-abortion doxxing. Some who presumably accessed ACLA material went on to murder abortion doctors. The court awarded millions of dollars in damages. The website was deleted.

I have questions, but Chait says Iâm not allowed to ask any
Per Jonathan Chaitâs NY Intelligencer column, trans people who ask questions are risking the 2024 election. When will we be allowed to speak? Can we speak up after the election? No, as then weâll be told to start worrying about the next election.

The âmanâââwomanâ porridge has gotta stay in the Goldilocks Zone
Transphobes donât want to be any more, nor any less, specific. They donât want more specificity about âmanâ & âwoman.â âCisâ is a slur, they say. They donât want less specificity either. âPersonâ is erasure, they say.

Sorry, Iâm out-of-body right now
Iâll answer your hate mail in another lifetime. Asking fake questions about etymologies and intra-community debates they donât care about. Theyâll follow up with fake theories about floating out-of-body.

An exploding rocket is a success, but trans people canât get hormones?
The existence of trans people is a danger only to fragile egos. A trans person is âdangerousâ only to people who believe that a trans person existing and having dignity threatens their own existence and dignity.

Itâs easy for this guy to challenge transphobia
Listen to Jon Stewart do it. Stewartâs comedic approach regarding Leslie Rutledge, the Arkansas attorney general, was straightforward. He learned to see through organized transphobia. Reporters can learn to do this too. Ask real questions.
