Anti-trans bills encourage far-right violence
That may be the intent. It sure looks like the outcome. The far-right wants the support of the center. The center has anti-transgender legislative campaigns. The far-right perpetrates anti-transgender violence.
Why is the far-right ever more intensely anti-trans?
Because they’re bored by finally winning against abortion rights. Fascists oppose trans people because they find difference threatening. Being anti-trans is fundamental to their politics, and it predicts what comes next.
These aren’t innocent questions. It’s an anti-trans agenda.
‘Gender-criticalism’ is linked to right-wing agendas. Today ‘the religious and neo-fascist right,’ with so-called gender-criticals, ‘believe the optimum number of trans people is zero,’ Brynn Tannehill says.
‘Gender-critical’ ideology is just dualism
The ‘GC’ worldview is a split between good and evil, physical and mental. It incredibly claims to vaporize all gender roles despite working to uphold gender. It focuses on what people can or can’t be, do, or have due to their sex.
The Gelflings are trans
And trans people are Gelflings. ‘Now, we leave you the Crystal of Truth,’ the Beings tell the Gelflings who are no longer Gelflings — because they are finally being left alone.
‘Red flags’ in queer dating aren’t the problem
What we compromise on lies beyond the red flag. A ‘red flag’ is a difference that alarms or confuses you. Though the flag itself isn’t a conflict, it may lead you to suspect your date isn’t a good match.
Empathy for cis people
Trans people have it because we don’t live in a trans bubble. My jaw hit the floor. I picked it up and put it back in. It fell out again. It rolled under the sofa and I have spent the last two weeks looking for it.
