Right wing lies about trans suicide
Steven Crowder makes up numbers and unfortunately is on Twitter. A former coworker actively fantasizes that my 21st-century transgender life is more miserable than if I were in a concentration camp.
2 times a trans man’s opinion was dismissed just because he’s trans
One happened to me. One happened to a more prominent trans person. Sure, these are “just” anonymous online comments. But they aim to delegitimize. Try to imagine the ripple effects into the rest of a trans man’s life.
I’m a gender autonomist
The term ‘gender activist’ is used to point at trans people living with dignity and solidarity, capable of saying ‘no thank you’ and daring to shrug at and disagree with someone who doesn’t like them just because they’re trans. ‘Activist’ is used as an insult for someone who believes in autonomy.
Cricket’s Still Alive (a poem)
Out of the gravel pit, up into the light. A poem after Allen Ginsberg’s ‘Howl’. About Kristi Noem and the young dog she brags of shooting. Beautiful trans child, goddamn untrainable dog.
What’s in the 2023 Florida bill about gender transition
The bill is called ‘Treatments for Sex Reassignment’ (SB 254). Stigma and silencing is the real purpose of Don’t Say Gay. Restricting gender transition is another way of making it difficult for certain people to thrive.
‘Don’t Say Gay’ could go national
USAmericans should vote on November 8, 2022. We could end up with a Republican-controlled Congress and a President DeSantis. If we do, the USA could have a national “Don’t Say Gay” law.
‘Black Hole Science’ experiments to stay warm after snow
My second entry for the 2026 Trans Rights Readathon. A college course that excited me was on religious themes in literature. My favorite part of ‘Black Hole Science’ is called ‘Lives of the Saints.’
Thank you for the strange fiction of ‘Rainbear!!!!!!!!!’
My first entry for the 2026 Trans Rights Readathon. Living past hope, everything matters and nothing matters. This doesn’t make sense, so it’s tough to resolve it. But this book drills into it.
People need to be allowed to keep their ID cards
I hope everyone is aware of the threat to 🏳️⚧ ️trans Kansans’ IDs. If I had a Kansas ID, Kansas would ask me to surrender my ID. It’s nonsense. There’s never been a reckoning. Anti-trans moral panic is hotter than ever.
We need to talk about the Heritage Foundation ‘enchilada’
If you’re trans, lesbian, gay, bi, or a woman, you’re not safe from these people. The version of the USA that the Heritage Foundation wants is governed by whiteness and by Christian authority. Don’t let them do this to people of any age.
Beast, in or out of a net
Art by Tucker Lieberman. Everything moves in the twilight: the beast, the net, the Moon, the Earth it orbits, you. Nothing dances in the same place twice.
6 things mystified me in the trans film ‘I Saw the TV Glow’
This 2024 movie is tough to crack, but finally I think I get it. In art, opaque describes a substance you expect to see through but can’t: paint, glass, a thin layer. Metaphorically, it’s something you can’t understand.
